I began wondering today when my brakes locked up on me countless times... I noticed a few months ago that my ABS light never came on. Ever. Is it supposed to come on or is this normal? When I am driving none of the little signal light things are on, is this normal?

 

Not sure, but I don't think mustangs come with ABS, I think they're just straight out disk breaks, but don't quote me on that.

 

Just to make sure I wasn't crazy I went outside and looked at my guages and saw ((ABS)) ... But that light is never on.

 

Anyone?

 

mine is all dics brakes, no ABS.

 

Wow are you serious?? Mustangs don't have ABS??? Hmph, that's kinda odd...

 

are you sure they dont have ABS? the procharger for mustangs at http://rpmoutlet.com/musv6ati.htm says its ABS compatible.

 

Pretty sure they have abs, I'll go check. one sec.

 

My 99 seems to have it. The ABS light turns on in the start up check. Also, I know I have felt it before when I have had to slam on the breaks the odd time.

 

ABS was standard on premium models and optional with trac control on deluxe modles
