ebay cai question

I just bought this cai on ebay. It says it doesnt have any instructions for the install. Do you think I will need to buy anything else before I try to install it??? Can I damage my engine by trying to install this? Any advice would be appreciated.

The one you have is just fine. There are directions on here on how do do it. Its in like the Tech Articles and How To's.
If that picture shows everything you got, and nothing else, then you are missing another silicon sleve. There is one to connect the MAF to a tube and a tube to the throttle body. Just FYI if this is the case.

I'll post a quick how to.
1.)disconnect the battery, this allows the ecu to reset itself after the install is complete
2.) unclamp your air box and remove the paper filter
3.) undo the hose clamp that connects the rear end of the intake to the throttle body.
4.) get the MAF out of the rear air box, I'ts been a while for me on a sixer, but I think you can unplug the maf sensor from the fender well allowing you to pull the maf out much easier
5.) unscrew the ait sensor from the rear intake line
6.) unistall the front end of the air box which contains the silencer
7.) put the 3" rubber ring inside the whole of the heat shield
8.) slide the heat sheild over the larger of the two pipes
9.) clap the filter onto the tuber behind the heat shield
10.) bolt the heat shield in place, you'll see the two wholes
11.) fit the front end of the pipe
12.) reinstall the maf, the kit should come with a rubber gasket to go between the front tube and the maf, if not, then just get the bolts as tight as possible.
12.) put one of the rubber clamps over the rear end of the second tube and clamp that to the trottle body (you can't screw this up, it can only go on one way)
13.) use the other clamp and hose to clamp the tube to the maf
14.) reinstall the air, should come with a small 1" rubber ring to go into the rear end of the pipe, then screw the ait sensor into that whole
15.) hook the maf back up to the side terminal that you may of had to disconnect it from
16.) plug the battery back in
17.) start her up and listen and feel for leaks, manualy open the throttle body under the hood to check for leaks.
