i mean i dont believe it 100%, but the transgo site says you can put it in yourself in a few hours with simple hand tools.

Ask jthorn im not real sure, you cant always trust sites and what they tell you....but it very well could possibly be a pretty simple install.

1st: Best Mod for me so far., but then again I havn't got gears yet.

2nd: Install cost me $318 CDN at a very reputible race shop.

3rd: you are given the instructions on how to install and even a video (with TransGo kit) but like Beach mentioned "its like doing gears yourself." The install is tricky and involves drilling the valve body, one mistake and your F***ED and if you have ever looked at the valve body you will know that it resembles a maze. Pay for the install.

4th: I would get the kit first, that way when you get the gears and tuner you wont be loosing power between shifts.

Just my 2 cents.

you can get them with manual valve bodies (clutcheless manual) or some just stiffen shifts, stock the 4R70 has a 1 and 2 manual valve body, do 1-2-D or D-2-D about 4800 rpms and you should get a nice chirp out of second, even if it is bone stock

And would the shifts be similar to a manual car, like the H-pattern it makes, or is it just moving the stick from 1-2-D.
