painting wheels
it's easiy if you have an extra set of rims around...i painted this guys (not my friend any more cuz he's a douchebag) 3000GT stock rims with the Dupont Wheel Paint...they were the original silver 16" 7 spoke rims...we painted them the dark gunmetal...first we sanded them down (they had bad curb/road rash being 10 years old and having 5 owners!)...washed the bare rim to get all the dust and crap off...then 3 coats of the paint and 3 coats of clear...we painted the inner rim too so we went through about 2.5 cans of paint and 2 cans of clear...we just did one rim at a time and he put the spare tire on whatever rim we were doing...he was getting new tires so we didn't worry about taping the old tires off...just painted over em...it actually came out pretty nice...i'd definitely do the clear coat though as it made the paint a LOT deeper...it almost look black

I've been contemplating painting my wheels black...they'd look better, IMO.

I'm going to repaint my cobra wheels black...and paint my stock wheels too. Painting is easy

If you paint them black though...leave a polished lip
