Some of you may have read what I was saying in another thread about the 6er being the potential better cornerer of the Stangs, and my comparison to Yamaha's R1/R6 projects being competing designs. In light of my new theorum, I've been trying to decide what would be the optimum handling setup. (read: what to buy first)

My current vexation is as follows. Steeda sells two versions of their 5-Link rear suspension reinforcement. 5-Link, for race applications, requires side-exit exaust. The 5-Link2, a street version, allows rear-exit exhaust. Potentially, the race-trim 5-Link would offer better performance, however, you can't use subframe connectors with side-exit exaust.

My question is...would I be better off with the standard 5-Link and side exhaust, or 5-Link2 and subframe connectors?

One of you nerdy types needs to put together a comprehensive post on what affect all this suspension and chassis stuff has on the handling of a vehicle. Notes on the different effects of adjustments would be nice too.

Lots of great info, but what I'm looking for is more along the lines of the purpose/effect of each suspension upgrade/part. I.e. swaybars and what effect different sizes and adjustments have. Or what a panhard bar does, etc.
