PCV valve
Its located on the valve cover. On 94-04 V6s its on the driverside valve cover. All it does is remove pressure and harmful excess gas ( caused by from combustion) from the engine through a vacum. Now I have few questions too. How do you know if its the PCV valve (and not the exhaust) thats responsible for the ticking sound every1 asks about? And if it is should it be replaced?

on 99-01's the PCV allowed excess oil to be sucked into the intake causeing detonation and heavy oil deposits on the intake valves which can cause more valvetrain noise and hurt gas mileage.
you can either make an oil trap by basically adding a T-connector in the line and attaching a small plastic bottle to grab the oil or just delete the PCV by ading a breather filter in it's place. keep the pcv and line and put it back on to pass visual emissions inspection
