Default problem with 2000 mustang shift marker

Hi Folks,

I just bought a 2000 mustang v-6 automatic and I was wondering if anyone had problems with the shift indicator marker not working. I had the car for three days and noticed the shift marker or the orange marker on the shifter floor was not moving with my shift **** and it don't show what gear I was in on the floor. Has anyone else experierced this problem and if so was there a TSB or recall on this part? I have never had a car that the shift indicator has broken and this car is only four years old. Thank you for any info on this and have a nice day.

Sincerely, Don

I don't have that prob. Take it apart and inspect it. Maybe debris or spring stretched or something?
