Well since that list has roughly 90% of the overall performance mods you can do, it all depends on what direction you want to go, do you want to continue working on the enigne, are you looking to do some suspension, what exactly. If it were me I'd invest into some gears or a power pack as that's where real speed and hp come from.

Id say get gears/t-lok or true trac, underdrive pullies, a tuner, lower it, then a power pak from Super Six, thatd be a good start and start to get it ready for a supersharger in the future.

mustangman im with you, yet im not with you. of course a v8 has more potential to mod over the v6, i mean its pretty much a given. but the 2v engines are expensive to build up into low 12, 11 sec monsters. thats the one thing about the v6 block, its hella durable. it can take a lot on stock internals, you wont really see too much happening with the v8. BUT theres much more than just the engine. if you want serious power to add to the v6, youll need to do suspension, get a new rear end, new tranny, etc etc the list goes on. you cant just get 500 hp out of the v6 without all of the supporting mods too. personally, i would have a pi GT to start with since it a good platform, but still its no 4v but its good. but as for the original poster. dude your 16. unless ur goin to a track, you dont even need to worry about gettin into street racing. ur gonna end up getting killed or something and this is speaking from experience. plus insurance on a GT? unless ur talking about a mid 90s GT or older, ur gonna get raped in insurance. so if i were you i would keep the v6 and just mod the heck out of it for now but dont street race. its bad.

why does it have more potential? cause of 2 more cylenders? not really, the 3.8 is as easy and cheap to build as a 302 is,

run a true trac no matter what, if he seriously plans on doing this he will shred teh t-lok like nothing

That is where I have to disagree with you, not because I have a V8, but because its not the total truth. A V8 has more potential strictly because of it's displacement, more displacement with the proper set up will generally equal more hp, key word there, generally, not always. Kinda like how a V6 has the advantage over a 4 banger.

I'm pretty certain that I have never seen a single 3.8 v6 in this section that could keep up with a blown new edge GT
