Default 97 V6 Timing Cover Repacement

OK fellas, just replaced the oil pan seal, thinking that was what wuz leaking. What a pain, having to jack the enging up and all. Took all day.

Got it all back together and it started leaking again instantly, however it wasn't my new seal. I cleaned it all up really good w/ a jetwash in my drive, and let it dry. Jacked it up and started it, climbed underneath, and this is what I found. I believe it's the timing cover. It has about a 1 1/2 inch crack... Can you verify this for me from the pics??

1. Is there a way of temporarily sealing this crack to keep it from leaking for a while until I get time to change it?

2. What is the easiest way to change it, and are there any special tools needed?? Steps would be great on how to do it, I'm a novice on mustangs..

Thanks in advance..
