Default 04 V6 Spongey Brakes

I have noticed that my brakes have become more and more spongey lately. Braking is ok, but you really have to mash the pedal. I checked the brake fluid level and it seems ok, a little dark maybe. This car seems too new to have a master cylinder problem? I live in Florida, so rust and corrosion is really not an issue. I have read in several places that if you want to bleed your ABS brake system (due to possible air in the system) that you need to have a proffesional technician to do this? Is this a common problem with this model year (40th Edition)? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Well no rust yes, but did you think about condensation? Brake fluid absorbs water. Bleed the brakes like you would on any other car. If you dont know how just let us know an we can help. Its a common problem with any car in hot moist conditions
