I was reading that straight pipes gave better performance and were.. simpler. Less bends/angles to reduce the ", I suppose. From what I've also read, it seems that the larger diameter you go.. ' 2.50", 2.75", 3.00"', etc... the better sound, hp boost (though, not much), and overall performance is. So, I'm guessing that I'd be wanting 3"'s. I'm not sure what the '00 V6 'stang comes with, but I'm sure it'll hafta be adapted. Is there any difference in the offset/center as far as putting it all together goes, or is it just... preference and for show?

I've settled on a pair of flowmaster 40's with an o/x and 2.5" Found the 40's on ebay for $30 a pop new, then $320 for o/r x-pipe and labor. Sound decent?

Want to make sure this is the proper one. Mechanic told me that i'll need the inlet offset, and outlet centered. It's a Flowmaster 40-series with 2.5", which is what I need. So if this seems right, then why does the "This Part Fits" table beneath it state Mustangs from 64-73. Will it fit my 2000?

My GT had off set off set before I removed the Flows today. Man I put the Magnaflows with the Bassini X Pipe on and all I can say is awesome. 1.) I can actually think now when I'm driving because that h pipe was just loud 2.) The tone is much better held in the upper revs, 3.) The Mags sound just so much better than the flows, much deeper down low, and much more mellow up high. They're just great.

I don't think so, I say just google flowmaster, go to their main web page, and look at the kits for GTs in your year that way you'll know exactly what you need.

That sound clip sucked. He sounded like crap when he revd it all the way up.
