Default project car

ok first of all i know half of you ugys are going to say sell it and getter the V8 or a newer one but im just looking for advice here. i have a 98 v6 mustang with the automatic trans. and its pretty much ball less im not trying to say its got anything but i was just wondering if i was to keep this car, and make it fast what are the things i would need to. i know i would need like plugs and wires like a fuel rail and injectors would add some h9 with little work. but if i really wanted to make this car fast. since it was the six and a 98 i didn't really have to pay and arm and a legg for it which was nice, so price doesn't necisarily matter right now anyways im just looking for all the possible answers... any help would be greatly apreciated thanks

Theres a list on here somewhere, but if it depends on if you want to race it or have it just to look cool in.. im guessing its got a fair amount of miles (mines only got 75k kuz it say in an impound/garage for most of its life before i got it) but from what im told some good starters are:

CAI
Exhaust
Pulleys
Tune

Then if you want to make its ***** drop of course go with

Charger (turbos seemed to be favored here)
NOS

Cosmetic:

ive been told to stick with Saleen body kits because of the roundness of our year.
Cobra rims look pretty sick
Lower it
Custom paint
tinted windows

But thats all from what ive been told by some guys around here that will help my car.. now im in Highschool and im not looking to create a Grand Prix runner, just something to beat the 05s, GTs, Turbo charged bug.. (yeah... its got flames painted on it) and the rich kids ricers and what not. So those mods are more to my preferance, but modding your car is really up to what you want to do with it and how long you think it will last you.

I WOULD say get a GT, and NEVER say put a Tbird engine in it... but thats only because to me, you are then driving a thunderbird.. not a mustang.. I think the car is only worth as much as the engine.. in other words, a harley has a special sound that other people cant copy making it unique, each engine is unique to its car, if you take that engine out and put another one in there, its like doing a brain transplant, you will have something totally new.. Like in the last fast and the furious movie with all the rice.. i was saddened to see that they took a 67 stang, took out the engine and put in a nissan skyline, some ricer or another like that, engine in it so they could "drift". To me if you take a mustangs engine out and swap it for another cars engine.. even if its still a ford... you are losing the mustang experience and pretty much are experiencing another car... If that makes sense... If you want to do a project car but want to put a t-bird engine in it... then get a tbird... that makes more sense...

well if you want to think of it that way, you are currently driving a buick regal[8D] a m90 stang with bolt ons will turn a PI GT into a bitch for the V-6

go to supersixmotorsports.com. You can get a forged 3.8 engine and a powerpack, and be able to smash gt's all day long. It will also be bulletproof when you go to slap on a supercharger/turbo.

The buicks used the same motor that we have. And didnt you just say that the engine makes the car? Thats why he said that, cuz in your logic, since you have a buick motor you drive a buick.
