The 4.0's respond very well to mods, but i am still not too sure about that engines reliability. I have read about lots of people having trouble with their new v6's.

out of all the 3.8 engines, yes. Due to the fact that pretty much everything that the 3.8 had problems with have been fixed. Its a strong engine that can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. That should be the goal of any engine.
