The hood is part steel and part fiberglass, it's not really 100% of either, but I believe it's a steel underbody and a fiberglass exterior cover.
i never really knocked on the hood when i got it. but i know the underbody is steel. it's still heavy though

Actually my fiberglass hood is pretty light compared to my stock one, and my friend with an Integra and my bodyshop teacher with a Accord both have CF hoods, and from what we could tell, my hood was SLIGHTLY heavier, not by much, but heavier. Although my hood is bigger.

There are CF hoods towards the bottem. Should lighten you up quite a bit.
