car's going on a diet before i get home. gonna get some carbon fiber stuff(painted of course) to keep the weight down. i'm getting a hood, trunk lid, and side scoops. just tell me what you think, i'm not sure of what hood i want

Side Scoops: http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templa...ubFolderId=473
Trunk Lid: http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templa...ubFolderId=809

Hoods: http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templa...292&SearchYN=N

i am thinking the Cowl Hood, Mach 2 Hood, Y2K Cobra R Hood or 03 Cobra Hood

you do know the hood and trunk lid are both fiberglass right? and those tiny little side scoops are light weight plastic. none of that is going to save you very much weight at all.

Yea, but fiberglass isn't exactly light, in fact, it's fairly heavy, ever picked up a fiberglass hood, then a carbon fiber hood, huge differance, although the paint will add some weight back to that hood, but it'll still lighten it up a little.

The hood is part steel and part fiberglass, it's not really 100% of either, but I believe it's a steel underbody and a fiberglass exterior cover.

Well I'm not 100% sure myself, I'm having a brain fart right now due to how tired I'm getting.[&:]
