welcome to the site.

forst off forget about Flowmaster mufflers. Force Proseries mufflers from www.summitracing.com are as good or better but are1/2 the price of Flowmaster 40's

get a GT takeoff exhaust and add the Force mufflers part# FRC-5201. it will sound as good as any V6 exhaust out there and most likely cost no more than $250

linky for force muffler

you will need exhaust hangers for the passenger side but that isn't an issue. either get them from ford or from www.pypesexhaust.com
dude. that's a life saver. I planned to buy a Pypes Exhause muffler for double that price like tomorrow. you're sure it'll fit correctly with no extra parts necessary? I thought the muffler size for my (98 V6 stanger) was 14" with a wider offset.

yeah there alot of guy's that have the same setup. trhey fit perfectly except for having to hang the exhaust lower to clear the V6 bumper

that exhaust sound identical to my Flowmaster 40's. actually they don't pop as much as my flows.

anyways when have you ever heard a ricer sound like a V6 stang??? the 3.8 has it's own sound. the only japanese 6cylinder that sounds like ours is the Isuzu 3.2l/3.5L because it's a 90 degree V6 like our 3.8. all the rest are 60 degree V6's or inline sixs which don't sound like our 3.8.

please don't call the V6 ricey sounding cause it doesn't sound like a V8

does this sound like rice?

i have a firebird with a 3800 V6. it sounds nothing like our 3.8 with duals no matter what muffler you use so you really cannot compare the 2 especially cause the camaro/firebird is a single exhaust going to dual outlets. it make a completey different sound
