flowmaster question
i have a 04 V6 convert stang. its not a dual exhaust.
i want to put in a flawmaster 40 series. the problem is....
supposedly the brackets that are currently holding up my stock muffler will not be able to hold the flowmaster.
this is what im told anyways. sooooo....what do i do? is there somewhere i can buy brackets. or can i maybe find some kind of package containing the flowmaster with the appropriate brackets?
does anyone have experience with this?
if you do please get back to me here.

make some yourself or have a shop weld one up. thats about all you can do. its pretty damn easy to make a braket. all it is a piece of metal that is curved at one end to be inserted in the littel rubber shock absorber thing then welded on to the muffler on the other end.
welcome to the site.
forst off forget about Flowmaster mufflers. Force Proseries mufflers from www.summitracing.com are as good or better but are1/2 the price of Flowmaster 40's
get a GT takeoff exhaust and add the Force mufflers part# FRC-5201. it will sound as good as any V6 exhaust out there and most likely cost no more than $250
linky for force muffler
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
you will need exhaust hangers for the passenger side but that isn't an issue. either get them from ford or from www.pypesexhaust.com

welcome! force flow or flow's would be a good choice. I personally went with real flow's but thats just me. u really cant go wrong just taking everything to a shop and having them do ur exhaust. got mine done with flow 40's true duals labor and materials for 295. worth teh money
i was always under the assumption that shops dont like when you bring in your own stuff for them to install.
but wow 295 doesnt that bad at all. especially since i wont have to do any work!
maybe ill do that.
sick lookin stang by the way.

295 sounds a little cheap from what i've read.
the adverage price is arround 450-550 for labor and parts(from what i have read).
but i might be wrong. just giving my 2 cents

Thanks about the car. My shop really didnt mind. they told me like 420 if they supplied the mufflers but i kinda lied and told them that someone gave my mufflers to me but really i bought them off the internet for cheap, brand new. They did all the labor and actually gave me a break off of what my orignal quote was. I think i did get a deal but still it shouldnt be that much more. I do live a town with literally like 8,000 people so its pretty small. only shop in town.
