My 98 V6 never had LX anywhere in it's title or on the insurance, remember, some insurace companies are loaded full of idiots, and so are some Ford dealerships. Plain and simple, the LX was a foxbody mustang that was a stripped down GT with a more "high class" looking interior instead of the sporty interior of the GTs and Cobras. LX models came in wide ranges, but to break it down they came in two engine models, the 5.0L V8 and the 2.3L I4. 94+ Mustangs are either a Mustang (also called base model V6), Mustang GTS (95 only), Mustang GT, Mustang Cobra, Mustang Cobra R, Mustang GT-500, etc.

Well I'm not 100% sure how to as my GT has the holes in the soop, then it goes into a short air channel that has little slits out the back that direct the air, kind of like an air vent in your house, towards the tires for ventalation. So, in short, drilling out the holes may not do anything unless you get the little air vent that goes in the fenderwell.

OK, one more time, THE LX DIED IN 93. The LX came with both a 4 banger and 5.0, it was just a stripped down GT. 94-07 are either a V6 model, GT, Cobra, Saleen, etc, there is no LX.
There was the GT-S in the early SN years, and what aboot Roush? Steeda? Shinoda?

just to add to the whole insurance companies are idiot things, I told the guy i was trying to get a quote from that i had a 98 V6 mustang and he goes so lets see a 98 mustang GT, and i go noo... a V6 and he goes "well the only mustang i have here is 98 cobra, GT, and mustang, no V6" and i go... its the mustang... a GT and Cobra have 8 cyl... and then i told him i wasnt interested in getting a quote from him ne more... but yeah, side scoops dont seem like they would do much.. just like that whole "functional" Cpillar scoops seem wierd..

there is no LX.
Look at my sig baby!!! OH Yeah!!

And a lot of people commonly refer to the v6 stangs as the lx, becasue every1 else has something to go along with the mustang.

Example: Hey what kinda car do u have
ME: Mustang
Them: Oh what kind? GT? Cobra? saleen?
Me:Nope just an V6

So it just sounds better

Hey what kinda car do you have?
Me: LX mustang. HA!!

I'd rather say V6, than LX, because first thing that jumps into most peoples mind is the old 2.3L LX, most people forget about the 5.0L LX.
