If i get Cobra Catbacks can i put them on my v6? and will there be a performance increase at all?

 

Not 100% sure, but I don't think they'll fit as they're made for a different rear end type.

Now as far as hp goes, I'll use GT takeoffs as an example, you'll get a hair bit more hp, like 2-3 but sound will be something to desire, sure it sounds better than stock, but fails drastically in comparison to all aftermarket systems.

 

On that note, I would add that it depends on how much cheaper you could get these Cobra takeoffs for, and which better fits your budget. Best bang for the buck really comes into play. You really aren't going to feel ~3 hp difference in a takeoff system or full aftermarket. Look at price difference and sound difference. Pick which suits your ears and wallet best.

 

the tail pipes are run different. rather than the mufflers have the "out" towards the side of the car, theyre on the inside. the tail pipes run sorta down the center of the rear, parallel to each other, and bend outwards after the rear end.

That's only the 03-04 Cobras cause of the IRS, no? Cause some GT systems like Flows and MAC say for 96-04 GT and 96-98 Cobra.

 

yea my guess is it should only be because of the irs. any others should work.
