hole in muffler
ORIGINAL: cobra232
it's called a weep hole. most factory mufflers have them so excess water drains out. as you know excess water in the exhaust from short drives that don't get the exhaust hot enough to burn the water off is the major cause of mufflers rotting out. ever notice that an old lady has only 14,000 miles on her car and the car is perfect but the exhaust is rusted beyond belief?? too much water in the exhaust caused by short drives at low speeds
and yes the water will corrode through stainless steel factory mufflers because it's acidic
