speaker size?

Default speaker size?

im going to get new speakers for my mustang 2001, i need to know what sizes the speakers are. 6x9 6x5 . i dont see the speaker size in the manuel and i cant seem to find it online. so any help is much appreciated, thanks

i think they are 6x8s but a guy at a local car audio store said that 5x7s drop right in

if you have a stock mach460 system your not gonna be able to find better speakers...just fyi. now if you have an aftermarket hu then new speakers would be great

Yes you can, and yes even though the MACH is one of the best Stocks, the best next to Bose, there are better speakers out there. WAY better bass too. I agree goto www.crutchfield.com and click "what fits my car" and put in your info and check out all the stuff you can get. >Woofers< will really wake your car up, but i noticed alot of Mustangs will rattle alot so PLEASE FIX THAT IF IT DOES. They also add more weight and WILL effect Gas/Performance, but not by much.

Yes you can, with a box. I mean like loud rattling people hear from your car when you drive by, I put tape on anything that usually rattles(door panels, dash, shifter brezel). Just line it tho, dont just throw tape in there.
