Default Traction-lock

I am going to get a 1999 - 2004 Ford Mustang V6. I want to burn out in it, but I have been reading online that the v6 will only burn one wheel, and I need to buy a T-lok so both wheels can spin and burn out. Is this true? there is one on www.v6mustangstuff.com for 200 dollars. When I burn out I just want both wheels to spin so is this the right thing to buy.

Ok, the t-loks use a clutch that will need replacing at some point in time. If you dont plan on putting anymore mods on your car, then you should be fine, but if you mod farther, i would say get a posi traction, as it is about 10 times stronger. They will both do the same job, although one costs 200 and the other 450.

Wait for it.....im sure the posi traction guys will be here soon.

Yes, you have an open differential, which only spins the back right tire (that's how it works in a nutshell, much more complicated than that though) Yes a T-lok will allow you spin both tires and what not, but you should also consider a gear swap too, as it will improve your off the line times nicely. Read up on the new threads about 3.73 and 4.10 gears.

a T-lok will not make a stock car any faster. only when you mod enough to cause wheelspin off the line ( this concerning auto's)

for burnouts which IMO is the dumbest thing in the world you will not want a T-lok. if you burn out every time you will either break the spyder gears or burn out the clutch packs. if you are going to abuse the car then get a detroit truetrac

if you use it for daily driving and drive it normally get a tlok stangmods.com has them, the discount code there is HID i believe

if you beat the snot out of your car, i would say get a detroit true trac, drivetrainspecialists.com has them

id also get gears, americanmuscle.com has them, the discount code there is mustangboards, dont forget a motive bering kit

you will need a tuner to correct the speedo if you dont already have one, talk to justin at vmptuning.com
