I own a Mustang 1995 3.8 L. This morning after driving for 15 min, I had little or no heat. Yet, the engine temp was at Maximum. When I opened the hood, the cooling liquid was coming out from the plastic container as if there was no tomorrow. The last owner told me that he changes the head gasket so.. I dont know if this could be the problem in this case. Anybody would understand what’s going on here. Thanks.
I'd start with the thermostat. It could be that it is not operating correctly which would stop the flow of coolant. How long ago was the head gasket replaced?
Well I'd do a cooling system check , maybe a system flush to make sure everything is flowing correctly. I know you can get one done at Jiffy Lube for about $50-$60 bucks if you can't do it yourself. I'd check the fan, radiator, themostat and make sure everything was working properly before thinking about head gaskets....
if youre not getting any heat inside the car, and its overheating, it sounds like you definately have something plugged. what often happens is that people who have a small cooling problem continuously dump sealing agents in, and that stuff can make a sort of dam in the system, preventing proper coolant flow.
