Default 3.73

HEy guys, if I was to buy 3.73 gears for my 06 4.0, is it the 8.8"? How much SHOULD it run me to get them installed? Would there be any prob using the xcal with it considering it tunes shift points and stuff in my auto? Thanks

You have a 7.5" rear end, despite what others are going to say, 3.73s will do you just fine.

$250-450 installation, just depends on your area

You'll actually need the x cal to reset your gear ratio to 3.73 to keep your speedo correct.

you will want 4.10s as they rev more, you have a 7.5" rear end, and you will need an LSD unit

Are the used ones for $50 basically just as good as spending money on new ones? Sorry about all the questions, but what is EVERYTHING that I will need to buy to put this thing in and good places to find them? Is there a bearing kit or something? About what should everything cost together? I can get it installed for $100 for sure. Thanks.

you need a motive bering kit, american muscle has em, the discount code is mustangboards

you need an LSD, if you respect your car and dont beat on it you should get a tlok from stang mods discount code there is HID

or if you tend to have fun with your car or have a 5 speed and beat on it i would get a detroit true trac from drivetrainspeciaists.com

and you will need a tuner to correct the speedo if you dont already have one, talk to justin at vmptuning.com
