Default 98 Suspension Upgrades

I just bought a 98 Stang V6, and I've heard that they have pretty bad understeer. I was wondering what suspension mods can be done, to get rid of that, and give it a bit more oversteer, and a more firm ride. I don't want to mod for power, my insurance is bad enough as it is, and gas is too, but what would you guys recommend, for some cheap easy and effective mods, that can be done at home to improve handling?

Also, what octane do mustangs use for a stock V6 3.8L? Thanks.
