Default mass air sensor

what is the purpose of removing the mass air sensor? if its job is to regulate the amount of air that enters in comparison to fuel could this not set the check engine lite off. How can it be removed on a 99-04 v6?

If you remove it the car may not run right as it may cause your computer to go into limp home mode

Your car will not work if it's removed. The MAF Sensor samples the incomming air to help tell the fuel injectors how much fuel to spray into the cylinders.

bad idea it will f**k ur car up u have to have a air sensor telling the computer how much air and what temp air is entering the motor your car would either run so lean it may stall out at idle or run so rich it is burning gas like crazy if you want to do anything to the MAF sensor the you could try a Diablo sport MAFia it changes the signal going from the MAF to the ECU and makes the car Run richer during acceleration for better performance and then runs normal under closed throttle
