Default engine swap

I have recently come into a bit of money and i want to make my car faster without getting rid of it. I was thinking about putting a 4.6L in my V6 that i have now is this a good idea and what all is needed if i can aquire the engine, transmission, computer, and wiring.

Any other suggestions would be helpful.

why not just mod the hell outta the 3.8 which is a better engine than a 4.6 imo, or get a gt? the cost over all will be alot for a total swap, but it depends on ur budget and if u want a fun/challenging project.

Well what all mods should i make. It already has a dual exhaust on it. What would be the most effective way this side of a blower or nos to help it out.

theres a list floating around here somewhere...

might go with

Cold Air Intake (CAI), Throttlebody, U/D pullies, Gears 4.10 have been said to give better results i suppose, Tru/Posi trac, is your exhaust catted? (or do you not have emissions therefore making it possibly an Offroad mid pipe?) shift kit. cant think of ne thing else of which ive been told helps this side of a blower/nitrous.

ud pullies, cai, super six motorsports powerpak, change the gear ratio to 3.73 or 4.10's, tuner, LSD, just to name a couple. Its not worth it to do a swap in my opinion. How much money we talkin?

i dunno, i havent looked into nitrous much myself, i dont view it very highly, i think its sometimes dangerous (depending on type of shot) and its not very honorable to use in a race, i say this a ton but its not what your engine can do for you its what the nitrous can do for you, i say run the car the way you made it not the way the nitrous makes it.. nitrous is like car steroids, steroids are legal in anyother type of sport, so i dont understand why nitrous would be acceptable, racing isnt what it used to be.

Id go with a wet kit from nitrous express. You can find em on ebay for pretty cheap and theres a dealer on www.3.8mustang.com but i forgot his name. You can install it yourself i dont think its very difficult but if you dont wanna do that id find a friends thats good with cars and has done an install before.
