i got about 600 dollars to spend on a mod for my car. ive already got a mac, catback, cai, and tb. I want something with good bang for the buck, but not nitrus. can anybody give me a little advice, i was talking 2 my friends an they were thinking along the lines of port and polish intake and heads, or a new cam orroler rockers. idk i need good advice

You tune it?

1.) ASP Under Drive Pulley http://www.autobadges.com/ - $160 - 5 rwhp DIY
2.) Diablo Tuner - look around and see ebay for a good used one - $200-400 - 5-8 rwhp DIY
3.) 3.73 or 4.10 Gears & Limited Slip Differential
4.) or you could just go with suspension or something
5.) I dunno how much they cost but a shift kit?

but roller rockers are easy enough to do and they should free up over 10 hp from what ive heard. A tuner wouldnt really do 2 much unless i had gears or something, andvancing the timing, and air fuel ratios are usefull, but not really necessary until ive got more power

Gears & LSD will about about $600-$700 (installed), but well worth it, IMO...

but you need a tuner

if you get used 3.73s and a used SCT/diablo and a LSD (it would have to be the tlok) and then you might be able to if you can find someone who will do the install for very little

do you have to have a tuner for a rear end install. or can the shop flash the ECU for you?

pretty much, whats the cheapest way to get your speed-o right again.

if i can get the gears and lsd bought and installed for 600 - 700 then hell yea ill go with that, i thought i was looking at more like a grand for that. But then it will be another 200 or so for a tune to get the speedo right again? but has anyone on here switched to high performance roller rockers, there only like 300ish and supposedly giveyou nice gains.

Havent done any internal mods yet, but i think it would be best to get a tunner...it unlocks your car to higher gains with each mod you put in and makes your car run at its full potential with tuned performance...your going to need one eventually and it looks like now is the best time with all your current mods.
