NEED HELP FAST!!!
You have to have a puller to remove the pulley. You can probably rent one at Autozone. Anyway, when it comes time to put it back on, it takes a nut, bolt, and a couple washers. Just thread the nut up on the bolt, then install the washers, thread the bolt into the end of the pump, hold the pulley and tighten the nut. A little lube on the pump shaft won't hurt either when re-installing the pulley. Once you get the pulley started, putting the belt back on will help you to hold the pulley, but it won't completely hold it for you. You can hold it the rest of the way by hand. Nothing to it man.
thanks but i already ruined it!
the dude at autozone said just break it off cuz they god damn pulley comes with the pump... WRONG HE WAS!!! so now i have a new pump, with no pulley!!! nowhere to get one either cuz its sunday!! any ideas?!?!?!!?!???????? i gotta be to work at 6 am

whats wrong with it? mine is chipped and cracked sooo bad (dunno how that happens.. previous owner hit a pedestrian and he went thru the hood im sure that didnt help) im worried about it cutting thru my belt or exploding or something and ruining my engine.
I had to replace my power steering pump cuz its grinding and not working correctly.... Some idiot at autozone said that the new pump comes with a new pulley and to just bring it off... So ofcourse i break it off and turns out the new pump doesnt come with a pulley... So now i gotta find a new pulley for it...poor mustang
