getting a 6
well if everything works out i might be getting my gf 98v6 mustang. me being me i want to modify it a little bit.
first off what are some turbo websites and heads? and costs?
tb? cost?
gears? does it cost about the same for a 5.0?
and then chip tune?
that will more than likely be all the mods. and any all recommendations. remember this will be a DD

check out supersixmotorsports.com they will have the heads and everythign that you will need. they also carry tb's. i would go w/ one of the powerpacks w/ the tb and upper ported to match. gears, usually 150 or a little more. 3.73 or 4.10. since your goin turbo you will want a strong lsd so i would go either a detroit or a positrac. they are usually 450ish for the 7.5" rear. the tuners will cost the same. diablo or sct. about 400 new.
edit: for the turbo...i dont know anything about it but if i remember right you should check out tmaturbo

I have one question, why a turbo?
I only ask this because, why not a supercharger, or a V8? what do you want this car to perform well at? Do you want a dd that can drag race, road race, street race, auto-x?
It makes a big difference in where your money goes when you have at least that much figured out.

well i just a car that will have some power if i need to pass someone or smoke the occasional ricer. do u think a supercharger would be the better choice? and then i also have my project car aka project 10's or bust.

Just look in my sig at my performance mods, they're pretty much all bolt ons, and I can smoke even a new GT, and I don't even have a dyno tune yet. If you absolutely want a big power adder, then I suggest a s/c. They're much easier than the turbo kits and I consider them more reliable for street use, as well as power throughout the power the power band, not just a peak when it finally spools up.

i just did a little research and a vortech system is the same price of a tma turbo kit. which would be the better of the two?
and i noticed someone say something about a split port intake conversion should i do that also and what else would be involved?

single ports can be made to outflow split ports. if you'd rather do some porting than pay for factory castings that won't have a huge improvement, you could probably end up ahead in both power and money.
personally i say go turbo because centrifugal superchargers are peaky too. you've got to wind them all the way up to see full boost, a turbo will have it by 3k rpms probably at the latest.
