I raced my buddy in his v6 couger, we both had intakes. He would get me off the line, but i would get him top end. The weight makes a big difference.

You also have a edge model, he's running witha lower powered 98.

You'll get killed by the cougar, i raced the 4 cyl version of the new model cougar and smoked it, but it also only had something like 125hp, the v6 model will kill you, you just gotta realize that a pretty much completely stock 98 sixer stang is just gonna be slow.

Itook my friends 02 vert V6 by a fender in just under a 1/4 mile. But he doesn't know how to launch an auto. And he's bone stock.

the 98 will launch a little bit slower than the 2000, but then it will pull on you and it's over.
