your in for a rude awakening with the BBK covers.

first off don't even try to use the supplied gaskets with the separate steel compressio stops. they are junk. you need 1989 3.8 T-bird Fel-pro blue rubber gaskets with intergral compression stops.

second the covers have no oil baffles and oil will be sucked up through the PCV and kicked out the breather from rocker splash without baffles.

there are mounting bosses cast into the inside of the covers. you must drill them and use a self tapping screw to mount homemade baffles. Coffee can tin works great for baffles.

make the baffles just a hair narrower than the inside of the cover across the bosses and make a lip all the way around pointing away from the rockers. this worked for me.

also the supplied stainless Hex bolts are dead soft and can round out easily leaving you with a bolt stuck in the head so be very carefull using them

all in all i have about 20 hours invested into the covers between mounting them twice and making the baffles.

APC makes Billit aluminum oil filler caps that will work. look for one for a honda as it has the same threads.

here is a pic of mine. you can see the blue gaskets and the APC billet cap

no offense but those are junk and don't fit the current 3.8. only 85-87 unless the changed them but i believe they are only for the CFI 3.8's
