even with the lt1 being somewhat of a bastard motor (kinda between 2nd and 3rd gen), i find it hard to believe that any small block chevy motor is going to be harder/more expensive to find parts for than a 4.6

2004 GT. Plain and simple, new car, easier to get any and all parts, and it looks 10X better. Sorry, older Camaros just aren't that sexy looking to me, now I love the Firebirds, but theCamaro just doesn't do it for me, now the new ones look good enough to own. The old Camaro will probably respond better to mods, and will be cheaper on insurance, but replacement parts are gonna be harder to come by, and the possibilites of something breaking/going out go drastically up with an older car. Point is, do what you want to do, and what you feel that you can afford better, but the stang looks so much better inside and out.
