air
Some of the Ebay intakes are pieces of crap. But, many people, including myself have purchased the Bomz Racing air intake and it hooks right up and has no fitment issues. It's $50 and is comparable to a MAC or BBK air intake. It doesn't come with an emissions sticker if you have Echeck, but I didn't need one since OH got rid of Echeck.
It was cheap, and its effective. So, if you go with the Bomz one, you should be fine.

Yes, ebay cais will work, but 90% of them have fitment issues, they loose their shine very quickly, some of them will have the chrome paint chip off, and yes, some are dipped, so the inside of the tube is also chrome, and a lot of them come with missing parts. If you want to take a risk, then try it, but I say do it right the first time and get a MAC, BBK, K&N, etc. When I got rid of my 98 sixer, I was kicking my rear end for getting an ebay cheapy because it lost it's polished look, and looked more satin than chrome.
If you live ina state that doesn't have emissions or inspections, do what you want. I live in AL and they don't have any of that stuff. I just got my cats off. I just have to be careful not to get on it if there is a cop around. It's loud as heck now. A CAI won't mess your emissions up either. I had mine done when i lived in VA and now problems. You shouldn't get any codes either.
