is there a shift kit for an auto 2001 6er??? if so, how much is it and what will it do for me in my 1/4 mile

i got mine for like 100 bucks shippd and i cant wait to install it,i seriously think about doing it myself,is that a good idea? anything i could **** up ? lol

If it's like mine there is potentially alot you could mess up, if you look at the instructions you will see why. The drilling involved is where the problem could lie, if you mess up there it could cost you a bunch. I had it done by a pro because tranny work can be tricky but if you feel confidant then go right a head, just make sure to tripple check your work. If you decide to do it, feel free to do a "how to" and take lots of pics.

What a shift kit basically does is improve shifts by firming them up through a pressure increase in the valve body. Get a trans go kit, and read the instructions, it is easy to screw it up, but it's also easy to follow the instructions word for word and be safe. If you aren't comfortable with it after you get the kit, then take it to someone to have installed.

You'll need to geta new filter as well, along with tranny fluid.

yeah i went with transgo and it comes with instructional video,how much wil the shop charge me?

I paid about $270 at a race shop that does trannies.

Just a regular place wanted to charge 2 hours (at 85$ an hour) for install and another ~170 to flush the tranny stuff
