In short, it would be a very wise idea to get the bearing kit, end of story.

do you need it, no you dont, when you rebuild the motor do you use original studs and bolts? no, its cheap insurance and just makes sense to spend the extra $20 the first tiem

i'm gona go with 4.10s kit,with my shift kit and 4.10s would it be possible to shave off .5 or .6 of the 1/4 times?

yeah that isn't too unrealistic. the shift kit will really help. get a transgo or Baumann engineering kit or do the jerry mod.

how do you like your B&M?
it shifts real nice but is engineered wrong. my trans wore out only 30,000 after i installed the B&M kit. only had 70,000 total on the trans. i still have the same valve body with the B&M kit but a few AODE upgrades that the tranny shop did to it. not sure what but it only has about 500 on the clock since the rebuild. i also did the 2500 converter when i rebuilt it and am damn sorry i didn't go with the 3000 stall speed. the 2500 feels exactly like stock

yeah maybe u picked the wrong conveter, i read somewhere that u gota be really really careful when choosing a stall converter
