tuner
Many people, including me,recommend Justin at VMP Tuning. He uses SCT software and sells the SCT XCal 2 tuner at around $380.
You can get a used tuner for less, sometimes around $200, but you won't get any tuning support with it at that price.

It replaces the factory tune programming in your vehicle's computer (ECU) with, usually, programming intended for higher performance. It does save a copy of your factory tune on the hand-held unit though, should you ever need or want to back to that.It interfaces with your vehicle's computer via the OBD II port located to the right of your steering column, and is simple to connect. The only additional accessories it might need would be a external 12V power supply and USB cable to connect to yourcomputer, but these are not necessary to use it for tuning purposes.
