Default rear bumper replacement

might get gt bumper for cutouts to get dual exhaust installed, could i replace it myself or even paint it myself? j/w...

they go for $235 but there are places that sell to shops ata discount rate so maybe be able to get it at 35% discount ($150)

what do you guys think about a do-it-yourself bumper replacement/paint job? how are either done?

Do you have the proper equipment to paint it? I'm no autobody tech, but I know you can't sit there trying to use a hand brush, lol.

there are christmas tree pins all around the outside of it. in the fender well, underneath. just start removing them untill its off, u might have to remove the tail lights. never removed our bumper but it shouldnt be that hard, just keep up with the pins and put the new one on just like the old one came off

Don't paint it yourself couse you wont match the exact color to your car. Unless you do your H/W right and then andonly thenmaybe it will look Okay . . . but good luck maybe i'm wrong.

if u buy the paint from ford or make sure it is ford paint with the same paint code then it should match decent +- some fading but dont attempt unless u have a real spray gun
