how can i tell if there is a chip in my car? i really think there is. i raced a stock '98 today and my '98 is pretty much stock and i beat him by 11/2 car lengths. they are both autos.

Even if your car did have a "chip" it's doubtful it would give you that much of an advantage. Sounds like the other either wasn't really trying, can't drive or has engine problems.
