Squeaking behind dash?
ORIGINAL: 98ponycar
Remove the windshield defrost trim piece, loosen the dash mounting screws that are located behind that piece, and then re-tighten them. Be sure to get them good and tight. It's real easy on those to think you're overtightening them because they go through the dash pad, but don't let that worry you. That should take care of the noise. Be sure you get them tighter than they were when you removed them. Mustangs are the biggest pieces of junk when it comes to interior trim noises. We have 05's and newer especially come in all the time with specific trim noises.

I think you're right about the noise coming from the vent but how do I remove the trim piece?
Just get a little screw driver and pop up one corner of it, grab it, and pull it straight up all the way across. It's just held in with little metal clips. Once you get it off, loosen all the screws to let the top of the dash settle, then crank them down. Should be good to go.
its most likely right behind the radio, just all the **** thats inside of there, once i switched my radio it did it, i took it back out moved all the wires around and it was gone, just try moving **** around behind the radio
I had a really nasty rattle in the back seat. It turns out that out of the 3 little plastic tabs that bolt that upper headrest panel thing, two were broken, so I currently don't have one in there until I can get a new one. That damn thing was aggravating. I have pull my headliner since something is chirping right above my head. It stops when I put my hand up there. My dome light rattles a bit too, it's just the lense.
It's kinda aggravating, my mom's lexus and my stepdad's 07 Yukon doesn't rattle at all, but they paid a lot more for their cars than I paid for mine lol.

Hey man, the chirping above you can be quickly fixed. There's no need to pull the headliner down because the board is rubbing the top of the car. Just remove the A-pillar trim panel, pull the corner of the headliner down enough where you can get your hand in there to install a piece of foam. It doesn't have to stick or anything because the headliner will hold it in place. That will insulate that puppy and do away with the noise. Had to do it on an Expedition that came in here a while back. Real picky lady was about to be out from under warranty, and was wanting everything fixed.

right under the windsheild (either side) & sometimes just behiund the radio LOL I'm so glad that I'm not the only one whose car does this LOL. It's not anything serious, is it?

I doubt it's serious but it can be very annoying. That's exactly where the noise is on mine and the one I test drove first.
