Default Shocks/Struts

Hey guys i just bought the Eibach Pro-Kit and i was wondering....A. if i needed to replace my stock shocks/struts? and .....B. what would be a good set to get?

I drive this car to and from work everyday so i dont want the stiffest shocks.
Also the age old question of caster/camber plates and camber bolts.......which would i need for the pro kit?

If I'm correct, I think the ProKit lowers like 2 inches or something. So you should definately get caster camber plates. I'd personally get them on any type of lowering, but that's just me. I'd just rather be safe than sorry.

fyi, it's the springs that will make the ride hard, not the shocks. unless the shocks are bad, all they do is prevent bouncing, they don't actually make the ride soft or hard like the springs do. hard to explain without getting super technical... the shocks prevent the rebounding, springs cause the rough initial bounce.

cc plates are not needing for "any type of lowering", that's nothing more than wasting money. I dunno where the hell this idea came from. if your alignment is within spec, it's within spec and cc plates won't help you with a damned thing.

super technical explanation here

u dont need cc plates, the pro kit only loweres 1.5" i have it installed on my car. i would get camber bolts like my car has, they worked out great for me. shock/struts arent necessary but if u have the money will help ur ride. basically aftermarket shocks have a shorter span which helps compensate for the lowering springs. tokico, kyb, would be a good choices, btw i still have my stock shocks and struts

I don't agree with the CC plate thing red. If I didnt get mine I would have been outta wack on my front right. The plates allowed it to push to -0.2 which was just inside where it shoud be. I have the Sportlines.

that's because you needed them. I didn't need them when I lowered my car, so I think I can say with certainty you don't need them in some cases.

I think maybe my statement "cc plates are not needing for "any type of lowering" was confusing? I meant you don't always need them in a lowered car, not that you never need them. I didn't need them with my ford racing springs.

yes you don't ALWAYS need them and you certainly do not need ANY type of "alignment tool" with the pro-kit unless your car is F-ed up...i had my car aligned after the install of my pro-kit and it went back together better than it went in!....as for S/S...well anything better than the bottom option from any reputable manufacturer...i really would have gone with the H&R SS springs if i could do it all over again...if you can sell the pro-kit and go with teh H&Rs...then go with the Tokico Illuminas/KYB AGX...they are both adjustable

good god, if u lower 1.6" or more U NEED CC PLATES, 1.5" OR LESS U NEED CAMBER BOLTS TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE. Camber bolts have a +/-1.75 degrees of camber adjustment. Jeff is right for his application but if u get a spring equivilent to say the pro kit which is a 1.5" drop u dont need the plates
