dang... you guys and your cc plates. you don't always need them just because you are dropping the car. they work to allow more adjustability of your front wheels, but if you don't drop the car past a certain point, you don't need the added adjustability to align the wheels.

the next time i see "do it right and install cc plates on anything you are lowering, no matter what" I'm gonna stab someone in the neck. [:@]

I dunno where this idea that lowering and adding cc plates go hand-in-hand came from. just a waste of money if you don't need them.

ask other people who have your springs if they used cc plates, that'll be your best way to judge. I think it's a 1.5" drop, but I'm not certain. there is a sticky in the 4.6 section aboot lowering.

I don't know how to answer that second question... if you have the right tools, you can do anything.

1.5 is a good starting point for cc plates although i would probably just get the camber bolts if you go 1.5. they are a lot cheaper. i lowered mine 1.6 and the camber bolts worked great. the alignment was way off on one side though so you do have to get something.

you could always just lower it then get the aligment checked by a shop. shouldnt cost to much just to have it checked. they might do it for free if you tell them you will have them fix it. then if you really need somethin to adjust it you could order the bolts. i drove w/o anythign for a few months.

thanks redass, exactly u dont always need cc plates, there comes a point when it is just a waste of money. i have heard complaints of camber bolts but i have no regrets on mine and they worked great. the thing about the camber bolts is they only allow a miniscule adjustment where cc plates allow lots of adjustment. i would say that if u go with a 1.6" or more drop invest in some cc plates, for any other drop i would get a $30 set of camber bolts just for the added adjustment, if anything this is what u could say would be doing it right and not skimping cause most just get an alignment with no camber bolts, i would suggest the eibach pro-kit, it has a slight stagger meaning it is lower up front but not much check out my sig for a pic, good luck

That's a good idea. The tires won't be hurt waiting a few days for the bolts (if needed).
