TransGo Shift Kit Question
I read in an article for these shift kits, that they install in about 10 minutes (assuming a shop or someone who knows what they're doing is doing it).
If this is true im buying one now, so can someone just confirm?
I hear they drill into the valve body or something...?

yes you have to enlarge certain holes in the valvebody. you can do it yourself if you are handy. but the valve body has ball valves that when you take the valve body off to drill it the ball valves shoot al over the place and you must know where they go back.
all in all i would let a tranny shop do it for ya. $200 is about average to do a shift kit.
they take abit longer than 10 minutes i can assure you

I think it makes up for the lag between the gear changes, like from 2 to 3rd u get that little slow pull when it shifts. Transgo reduced that and gives u quicker shifts. As far as install goes good luck pal its honestly a lot of work ,I looked at the video and like cobra said it requires drilling and all that messy stuff so take it to the shop ,My quote was 250 bucks!
I still don't understand how they can claim 10 minutes...it seems like a tough job and a tranny can be fussy. Like cobra said, bring it to a shop.
That being said, if you have an auto, this is one mod I would say MUST be done.
