Default Sway Bar Questions

After reading a post/sticky on 3.8mustang about sway bars, and how Ford made them on V6's only through 1994-1997, I decided to take a look at my car, seeing as its a '97.

Well I looked underneath at the back and behind the rearend I saw the rear sway bar. I looked underneath the car at the front near the axle but couldnt see anything. Is there definitely one there?

Here's my situation....

About 2 weeks ago I removed an approx. 60lbs sub box out of my trunk, and put my spare tire back in it.

Now take note that my car needs some help. It has completely worn out struts and shocks and worn out tires (the back 2 are snow tires that I used for an entire summer).

Cornering is always not nice for me. Even with the added weight of the sub box in the back it was rough (esp. bumpsteer) which is now not so bad with the box out. What is worse though, is that anytime I come around a corner (especially 90 degree turns) and im not talking fast i mean the same speed everyone else is going, and I oversteer and my back end starts to spin out. Now I know this has to do with ****ty suspension and tires, but if I replace those will this correct my problem?

I just want to be able to hug the road and not have my back tires jump off the ground (which I hear is most likely caused by the rear sway bar).

Well i'm going to be getting new struts/shocks and lowering springs soon, followed by some brand new rims/tires come tax return time.

I'm having alot of traction issues now that my rear is lighter. It's most likely because my tires cant grip for **** (and at least could with the weight holding the rearend down).

Now will new suspension/tires correct that issue or will I need to add more weight to my trunk.

I figured by removing my subbox that i'd be able to accelerate faster from a stop due to less weight, with the subbox it always seems so heavy. But now that its removed, I have to slightly give it gas or my tires will spin. So it seems like it was better with it in almost.

Yeah no weight in the back of a rwd car with bad tires will lead to traction issues
