im ganging my oil tomorrow, what weight does my engine take, and what is the best brand?

best would be to look in the manual, ford says to go with 5w-20 but i think ur manual says 5w-30 i run 5w-30 but i also have a 00

i think it prob says 5-w30 in the manual cause they didnt change to 5w-20 till 01 i think, either one would be okay

I aways use Castrol Syntec in mine but any 5w-20 synthetic would be good. It cost more than regular oil but it's worth it.

Even if it doesn't need it, 5 quarts of oil and a filter cost me $18.96. So if it didn't need it, what have you lost, 'bout $20? And if it did need it you win.
