What has been done to the 05' 3.8L V6 to get the added 20hp?

 

The 05 uses a totally different engine. It's a 4.0L SOHC engine the ones in 94-03 are 3.8L OHV engines

 

kinda sad the motor got .2 liters bigger and the horsepower only went up 12-20 horsepower, way to go ford![sm=smiley21.gif]

 

thats because it is tuned down! look at the 3.8L it has 193hp and the 4.2L has 202hp! so why are you mad that a smaller engine then the 4.2L is making 8hp more? wierd! you should be happy that the new v6 has as much power as it has!

 

rumor has it that they can rip out 190 hp to the wheels. that is 30 more rwhp to the ground. but that is rumor
