why are you guys so shocked? fox body mustangs could be gotten with a 200ci inline six. ford made many other sixes including a 300 ci "big block" that went in trucks. i don't know which he plans on using, but i think a 250ci six can fit in without problems
i am aware of Ford's I6s but i'm just wondering WHY he is doing this...and how he plans on building up that straight 6...just wondering if he is doing it to be different

for that matter, why build a v6? at least inline sixes are known for their longevity, balance, and torque. our old 300 I6 truck almost has 300k miles on the motor and could probably tow a trailer down the 1/4 as fast as it could without one.

Clifford Performance makes some nice cams and headers for the ford I6's and i believe Offenhauser makes an intake for the 240/300 but not sure about the 200/250 car I6's

getting back to the rear any Fox car rear will work in the car. 7.5 LTD's Fairmonts Grenada's and T-birds from79-85 will work and any stang rear from 79-93
