Default V6 question

Hey just wondering...is the 4.0 V6 in my 2000 Explorer the same as the 4.0 V6 in many stangs? I think it is, but not so sure.

I think they're both the 4.0 Cologne engines, but don't quote me on that.

Ok that is cool, also my sister's old truck was like an 89 and it had a 5.0. I know some of the intake and everything is different, but is the short block (core components whatever) the same? My sister got a new truck after her tranny went out, so I have this perfect 5.0 with only like 40k miles (Jasper rebuilt), and it would be great if it was just like say a Fox body 5.0. Any ideas? It is an 89 F250 5.0 EFI. It would be interesting if all of the cars in my yard had potential mustang engines.
