Default Engine rebuild kit?

Sitting on over 215,000 miles can be unnerving. So I'm going to take a week or so off of work and rebulid the engine early June.

Question: Does anyone here know if there is a rebuilt kit (bearings, gaskets, head bolts, etc.) all together for an sn-95 or willl I have to get all that stuff seperate?

not sure...but i would just save up and put the split port motor in...ive got 153k on my car and for the money it just seems smarter to get a newer motor that has a lil more hp

Yes they make a rebuild kit that includes everything you will need to overhaul the engine, but why would you want to? 215k is no big deal. If you drive the car right and maintain it, you will have absolutely no problem getting 400k out of it. Mine has 242k, and I don't see a problem getting 400k out of it. I replaced the headgaskets at 200k, and saw absolutely no signs of wear on the cylinder walls. From what I could see of the camshaft through the lifter galley, it was great. The oil pan was cracked when I got the car. I replaced the pan. The bearings were great. You should have no problems with your engine unless it has been neglected.

I wouldn't be so sure. They may not go 400k, but when I swapped my auto to a manual at 215k, it had no problems at all. It had never had any major work performed to it. Only regular fluid and filter changes.
