Default CAI problem


http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...g?t=1172881961[/align][/align]here is a picture of my install, everything seems right but i dont think it works right, it sucks really loud when i start, then i ride for about a mile and it gets really quiet. i punch the gas and it shuts off completely, then i let off and it sucks for about 2 seconds whats wrongg???[/align]

Did yours have a small rubber gromet in it? It would be after the MAF. I can't tell from the picture but if it does you need to plug that hole. You could have air getting in behind the MAF so it doesn't sence it.

yeah you can see that the sensor is plugged into it. the only thing i can think of is if that sensor is not completely air tight and should be siliconed.

ive plugged all of the holes, i dont see where any air could be leaking through or anything

Looks just like my CAI.. but when i installed mine my check engine light came on, and i dont know why.

Nothing is wrong,mine does the same thing,when u hit the throttle it makes the hissing noise,u`ll get use to it believe me. There is nothing wrong with it u just gota love that thing suckin the air in

mine does it to and there is nothing wrong with it once it warms up like atfer 5 min it goes away
